People usually love baby animals but somehow I doubt that extends to spiders! It was a little hard to tell what this was at first. It turned out to be a mass of baby spiders in a small web. Once you got close enough you could see them moving around. It was right where I spotted the fishing spider with its egg sac so I suspect that's where they came from. It seems like a rather exposed spot to choose, maybe it wanted them to get the warmth of the sun rather than being hidden in the cooler shadows.
